Company Philosophy

Delta Caravans was established in October 1983, by the former two directors Keith Oades and Jim Redshaw.

The company started with just 10 members of staff. Today Delta employs 130 people on an 8 acre site at Leads Road, Hull. Following the refurbishment of units in the early days, new caravans were then manufactured and sold in Ireland.

In 1992, WCW in Holland began importing Delta Caravans, starting with 5 caravans a week which has now grown substantially and continues all year round. The distribution network is throughout Europe.

In 1999, considerable investment took place, with additional new factory space and new plant and machinery,

Jim Redshaw sold his shares to Keith Oades in March 2000 and in 2004 Keith Oades sold the whole business to Dr. Mike Isaac, who is the Managing Director.

John Isaac BSc. (Hons) A.C.C.A. joined the company in 2004 as Financial Controller, with David Carlile, A.C.M.A, as Company Secretary.

Graham Oades was promoted to General Manager in 2004, from Technical Manager. Ken McGeorge is the Purchasing Manager for the company.

The sales function is covered by Peter Jones who was promoted to sales manager in 2005.

Delta's philosophy is simply to provide customers with what they want, when they want it and at an affordable price.

Whilst many one-offs are handled by the Delta team, the company supplies caravans to the main large groups. Export, via WCW is still an important part of Delta's business.

Investment

This is continuous in terms of people training and investment in computerisation.
